Maddux Shockey '23 Recruiting Profile

I love to feel the energy of the game and I thrive off of all sorts of energy.  I always look to have lots of fun when I am playing and I love to keep it loose and play with the rhythm. When I feel that my teammates are not feeling the energy and are down I try my best to lift their spirits and help put them in a better mood. I consider myself to be a very hard worker on and off the field and a great leader, I enjoy helping people and I look for things to do to help other people out. I believe that a strong mind will help the most in any scenario whether it be on or off the field. I am currently in student council, National Honor Society,  Key Club, and I am attending the Illinois Leadership Seminar. I currently have a 4.0 gpa and I plan to keep that all throughout high school. I want to continue playing  baseball in college because I love the game so much and I want to play it for as long I can.
