Andrew Cater '21 Recruiting Profile

I am looking for an opportunity to bring value and energy to a 4-year program where I can work to provide team success on the mound. I understand that to achieve this I will need to put in an abundance of hard work and effort. An example of my work ethic is my attending and participating in workouts for football and baseball before school and during the summer.  Also, for baseball, seeking individual instruction and attending camps for improvement.

I am a serious competitor and have been a hardworking, multi-sport athlete my entire athletic life. I am a great teammate and take pride in being an ultimate team player. Examples of me being a good teammate and team player are stepping up to play positions, in both baseball and football, that I had never played or not played for multiple seasons, to help fill needs caused by injury, depth or skill. I even played catcher for over two seasons.

Finally, I believe in adhering to high standards for myself, not only athletically, but socially and educationally. I am an honor roll student five out of five semesters with high honors three of the five semesters. I am a leader on and off the field and know I can be a valuable member of a baseball program at the next level.
