Personal Statement

Baseball has taught be many life lessons besides how to play the game. Even though I love baseball, I am realizing that my education is just as important and my future depends upon it. If I can use baseball to obtain a great education I will have achieved my goal. I want to play athletically at the highest level possible. I have played baseball since I was five years old. At age eight I began individual training at a facility, and age 10 my parents allowed me to being traveling on competitive teams. Being a part of a competitive environment has made me a better player, person and teammate. Learning to deal with good and bad outcomes has prepared me to play in high school with high amounts of pressure. Competitive teams has taught me how to be a coachable player and how to be a leader on a team. During my 8th grade year I set five school records 3 for pitching including most strikeouts in one game (16), and 2 for hitting. During my freshman year (2017),I was able to relief pitch in every post season game including earning a save in the Super Sectional game and pitching at the Illinois High School Association State Tournament in Peoria Illinois. My high school team placed 3rd at state in 2017, this was a hard lesson to be learned that winning isn't always achieved, however now I can look back and see the lesson of being humble when games are won. Family is very important to me. I know without my parents and grandparents I would not have been able to participate competitively. There have been many sacrifices to allow me to travel on the weekends, I make sure and thank my parents and my grandparents often in helping me become the player and person I am today. I hope that you will take a few moments to review my profile and video and I look forward to hearing from your organization.
