Personal Statement
Baseball is my one true passion! I have been playing since I was 3 years old. When I was younger, I played football and hockey but always returned to baseball. The other sports and teams helped me in so many ways including gaining a deeper knowledge on teamwork in that we all need to work together, respecting oneself and colleagues, and having confidence in myself, always pushing myself to be a better team member and contribute to the team when and as needed.
I played in our park district little league since I was 5 and played travel ball at the age of 9. I have always enjoyed playing baseball and always looked for opportunities of playing even during the off season with my neighborhood friends. Since entering high school, I have continued to develop myself by taking conditioning classes, running and strength training to be the best player I could be for my team.
I have many qualities to bring to any team, I am a team player and get along well with fellow team mates and coaches. I follow directions, I am always early, have a great sense of humor, and love to encourage my team mates.
I am looking for a school that has a good engineering program while allowing me to have the opportunity to get a great education and fulfill my dream of playing college level baseball.
