Personal Statement
In 8th grade, my club team was very good. We were always playing in the playoff brackets of all the tournaments we we’re in. Although I loved playing and winning a lot of games, I learned a lot more from having to earn a spot in the lineup on my sophomore year. My playing time was not guaranteed, so I had to prove to my coaches that putting me in the lineup would help my team win games. I learned so much about myself that summer, and I gained confidence, self respect, and appreciation for the game that I didn't have before. One of my favorite parts about playing baseball is the coaching. I love feedback, and I strive to make myself better by learning from those who are experts in the game of baseball. I value my academics very much, and have put countless hours into making myself a better student. I would say my hard work has paid off in the classroom, as I have a very good GPA while taking rigorous courses. All of these things me a great fit for any baseball program.
