Personal Statement
All my life I have been in love with sports. Growing up I played baseball, basketball, ran track, and football.None of these sports brought me as much joy as baseball. Baseball has taught me many lessons in my life. Baseball has shown me how to not only be a better ball player but also has made me a better person. My mother has raised me and my three other siblings by herself. She is truly my inspiration she has taught me to respect everyone and work hard to reach my goals. Most importantly my mother has taught me to believe in myself. What sets me apart from other players is my work ethic. I am constantly trying to improve my game. I am a strong believer that hard work truly does pay off. Not only do I enjoy working hard but I am a very coachable player. I listen well to directions and I am very open to new strategies and different ways to improve my game. I strive to make my teammates better and to make myself a better team player because it takes a team to win a game. During games I try to be relaxed and when I make errors or strike out on a ball in the dirt I shake it off easily because it's the game of baseball and I know I'll get another chance. I am very blessed and grateful for my God given athletic abilities but I am constantly working to get better. I work extremely hard on and off the field. School has never been easy for me but nothing ever comes easy in life so I work very hard in and out of the classroom.
