Liam Smith '25 Recruiting Profile

To start, I really love this sport, I have been playing baseball since I could walk. What I think separates me from other athletes is my work ethic. Every day in the offseason I was either in our home gym or going to a strength and speed coach about 30 min away in Springfield. Further, three times a week I have also been working with a former MLB pitcher, Tony Zych, working with pitching and hitting. Since varsity baseball has started up, I have had practice every day after school, if not competing in games, from 3:30 to 6:00. And after that practice, I walk across the street to the gym and work out for an hour or two. I am also strong in the classroom with a 3.7/4.0 GPA. In addition, I am involved in FFA and Student Council where I can participate in leadership work and community service. I plan to major in Agribusiness in college so I can learn what it takes to run our family farming business. I give 100% in all I am involved in whether it's sports, academics, or my family.
