I am a two-sport athlete playing baseball and football. Baseball has been my main sport since I was 5, playing tee-ball with the local rec teams. I used to be the type of kid who never wanted to hit or have a ball come anywhere near me. I believe that through hard work, this has changed in many ways. I used to be the 8 or 9 hitter, now I'm usually hitting 5 or 6, which I credit to my hard work, but also to my Dad for giving me confidence when I needed it. I would say my confidence is one of my greatest strengths. Now I love to be in the spotlight, having to make a big play or shut down a game, or being in the position to hit a walk off and help my team win.
My main goal in high school is to keep my grades up and be able to have choices on where I attend college. Another goal I have for high school is to win a state championship in either baseball or football. It would be a dream come true to be on that high a level with all of my teammates. I also want to continue my academics at the college level. My goal is to graduate and be on my way to becoming a physical therapist, hopefully staying connected to sports.
