Personal Statement
In past years I have been the team leader. This was a blessing that allowed me to encourage and help others, not only at my age but the younger level as well.
The highest point of my high school career so far was when we were ranked first in our conference my sophmore year. Although that was my high point, I feel we learn more from hardships or disappointments. As like my freshman year playing on varsity, wanting badly to catch but there was already a senior catcher. Although he was a senior I knew all my hard work and extra workouts should have put me in his catching position but it never happened. I kept working hard during the off season and took the catching position my sophmore year. I have to continue to work hard or younger players like me could always take it from me.
I have been lucky to have people in my life push and support me at not only sports but also academics. I am currently tied with four other students for first in my class, with a 5.0 average. I plan to further both my baseball and academic career with hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Not only will those three things set me out from others but also my personality and the positive attitude I bring to everything that I set out to do.
