Kyle Severson '20 Recruiting Profile

College to me is much more than just getting a degree.  My specific goals for college are to obtain a Business degree and to play baseball with a strong athletic program, but my college experience will be much more than that.  It will be an opportunity to really grow as a person, to develop life skills through education and athletics, to develop relationships and have experiences that will help and guide me through many years of my life.

As a student, I am determined to do the best that I can.  I currently have above a 3.0 GPA with A’s and B’s in my senior year which will bring my GPA up even higher.  I am currently not satisfied with my 1060 SAT score, so I am going to retake it in December.

My parents tell me that since I could walk, I was throwing a ball and swinging a bat.  I love the game.  I started playing organized baseball when I was 4.  Baseball was my sport, the one I was passionate about.  I just love the challenges of the game.  As an athlete, I am committed, determined, a leader and I am calm under pressure.  As a teammate, I am supportive and complimentary, but  I will push my teammates just as I expect them to push me.  I excel under a coach that is tough and expects a lot from me athletically  and personally. 

Overall, I am a hard worker and determined to reach the goals I set.  I won’t take failure as an answer, in class, as a person or as a teammate.  I always try to better myself and those around me.  I will work hard for you, both on the field and in class.
