Stephen Lombardo '22 Recruiting Profile

I would like to play at the most competitive school according to my ability while also being able to get significant playing time. I am also looking to compete at a school with very high academic standards. Ever since being cut from an elite travel program when I was 13, I have not stopped working to be a better baseball player. Getting cut taught me that nothing is guaranteed, and to always keep improving or someone will take your spot. Since then, I have been fortunate to make and play on an even stronger team. 

I especially love being a catcher because it is arguably the most important position on the field, and I trust myself to handle it. It is the most physically and intellectually demanding position. I enjoy the challenge of catching which requires me to continue to get stronger and tougher on the field.
