Personal Statement
I have been playing sports since I was old enough to hold a ball. I excel at all sports but my heart is baseball. I have been on travel teams and district teams since I was 5 years old. I am always willing to 'play up' when the opportunity exists. My coaches will tell you that I am one of the best players they have ever coached. I am constantly aware of all aspects of the game. I have been voted team captain by my fellow players more than once; am consistently leading my team in BB, stolen bases and batting averages. I have been told by coaches that I have a quiet sense of confidence and my actions are loud and productive. Coach able, dependable, athletic, calm and able to handle pressure under all situations are just a few of the words in a recent recommendation by one of my coaches. But perhaps my most valuable asset is that I'm fun and I make sure I keep the game fun, as well as a desire to win.
My goal is to attend a four year college and major in a field that is strong in math. I currently have a full load of honors classes at Wilmington High School. Many people as me "how to you do it all?"; practices, homework, lifting, gym time etc. I tell them it's important to me and I make it work.
