Alexander Mendes '22 Recruiting Profile

I have a deep passion for all aspects of the game of baseball and in competing at the highest levels. I am passionate about team work and working with others to bring out the best in everyone. I also have a very strong work ethic and have used it to constantly better my skills. My coaches always have said that I listen well and am very coachable. I believe that I can absorb information quickly and turn it into action and this is reflected in my excellent academic record. I have an intense competitive spirit and desire to win which are combined with strong leadership skills.

I bring a diverse background which has made me resilient and able to cope with any challenge. I have lived in Canada and the United Kingdom and played baseball in different environments and teams. I also think that my ability to compete in other sports makes me a better baseball player. I am a multi-sport athlete, having played football (Varsity, Captain) and basketball in school and these sports have helped my team work and athletic skills.  I have also volunteered with special needs kids to teach them how to play this great sport. In conclusion, I believe any college recruiting me will get a dedicated student athlete who is willing do whatever it takes to play baseball at the highest level.
