Before I could even walk steady, I was hitting off a tee. Baseball has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I feel as though I was born to play baseball. Academically, I like to challenge myself, which is why I have taken honors and advance placement classes since my Freshman year, whenever available. I realize that academics go hand in hand with baseball and in this stage of my life, I'm working very hard to be successful in both fields and strive to create a healthy balance. I have been umpiring for three years now for the Woodstock Little League organization and I realize how much it has helped me gain an understanding of baseball at another level, it has helped me to see and experience yet another aspect of the game. This is the first year since the fourth grade that I have not played basketball, instead, I started winter training for baseball and wanted to focus all my efforts towards having an outstanding baseball season this year. I am looking forward to using and improving my baseball skills at a college level and hopefully beyond.
