Personal Statement

Academically, I’ve enjoyed being challenged in the classroom and I also like being competitive in the classroom.  To receive my college education is very important to me and my family.

Athletically, I have a blazing passion to participate in sports but my first love is baseball.  I’m a pitcher and first basemen.  My father taught me how to pitch.  When I started in little league at age 4-5, my Dad reminds me that I told him that I wanted to pitch.  So, the next year he became a coach for the league and began teaching me how to pitch.  I’m so fortunate that he schooled me in pitching.  I became so skilled that he didn’t need to coach to ensure that I had the opportunity, my ability spoke for itself.  As my mother says, sports are one of the few areas of life that is fair, you can’t get the position based on your family, networks, or your race.  I enjoy sports as a hobby when I have available time and I work hard at making myself the best on my high school’s basketball and baseball teams.  This preparation will help me to better perform athletically as I pursue baseball at the college level.   Being in sports has also developed my leadership and responsibility skills which I use in my everyday life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
