Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my personal statement.
I would first like to thank my parents, sister and grandparents for all the opportunities they have given me. I'm thankful to have grown up in a baseball family, my grandpa coached HS baseball, my uncle played college baseball, the love of the game runs deep for me. I was taught that hard work on the field and in the classroom was the expectation. My current athletic schedule is as follows: 2 mornings a week 5:30 am HS baseball, 2 periods a week strength and lifting HS., Sat, & Sun. indoor travel team baseball practice 4 hours, 1-3 times a week I work on speed & agility at NEXT LEVEL training and 3 afternoons I have winter football until baseball season. Last year as a freshman I started 5 games as QB1 on varsity. I led my team to a playoff victory, ( first in 3 years) 40-39 over Muncie Central. My conference had the 5 A state champion (New Palestine).
I am a 6'1' 185 lb.15 year old athlete, catcher/quarterback with speed, I'm a leader by example and coachable. My goal is to play college baseball and beyond. I hope to achieve a degree in education (GPA 4.0 transcript posted) and coach someday. I look forward to meeting you at your showcases and camps. I want to be your 6'2'-6'4' 210 lb. All American Catcher.
Thanks again,
Brodie Mayberry
