Personal Statement
Playing baseball brings me exultation and ecstasy! It has been a necessity in my life. I have been playing baseball for several years, including league, travel, and high school. Playing in each of these divisions has allowed me to gain many skills that I utilize both on and off the field. I am a team player who possesses excellent sportsmanship. I also have great leadership skills. I have played varsity level since my freshman, year playing numerous positions. At the end of my freshman year, I received and accepted an invitation to play in the Indiana Elite College showcase.
I take academics very seriously. I currently hold a 3.8 GPA which includes an AP and also a honors course of study. In addition, my extra curricular activities include an active member of the Key Club which helps organizations within my community. My volunteer efforts also include helping out after school at the local YMCA. I am also a member of my high school's marching band, playing both the trumpet and drums.
I am looking for a school that is in line with my student athlete performance ability that will help me achieve my goal of playing baseball at the collegiate level while working towards a degree .My geographical preference is to attending a school in the mid-west or south eastern region. I am seeking a school that has a medium to large size population. I haven't chosen the exact field of medicine I want to study, however, I do know that I want to major in a field related to health sciences.
