Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Tyler Duncan. I'm a senior at Ben Davis High School. I'm the starting pitcher and team captain for the 2018 Varsity team. When I'm not pitching, I'm a very versatile player on the field. I play 3rd, shortstop, and 2nd base. I've also played center field for my travel ball team, and catcher last summer. Being a utility player I've played the game at many different point of views. I have played with many coaches in my baseball career, which has helped me to become more coachable and adjustable to different coaches strategies. It has taught me a lot and has improve my baseball IQ of the game. I'm determined and have a lot of drive to improve my performance as a athlete and student. I have a lot of confidence in myself which helps me to be a better leader to my teammates. I've played in many tough situations which has helped me to become more calm and play better under pressure. My goals are to improve my speed in pitching and become a better student-athlete. I'm a leader on and off the field. I've attended MIC leadership conference to represented Ben Davis with 10 other people. I was also rewarded Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.
