Personal Statement
My name is Jake Thometz. I am a LHP from Munster, IN currently entering my Junior year at Munster High School. My desire and goal is to play baseball at a collegiate level and beyond. I have been playing baseball since the age of 5 and it has always been my dream to succeed and play at the highest level.
I am a hardworking, committed and passionate baseball player. I always put my teammates first and I do whatever it takes to win both on the field and off. In the classroom, I take my schoolwork very seriously and believe it is very important to have a strong balance between athletics and academics. I would be a strong asset to any program that wants a dedicated student athlete that is always willing to go the extra mile.
I am interested in a program that promotes an environment to succeed and has a competitive culture. Academically, it is very important for me to attend a school that will prepare me to achieve an undergraduate degree in business and then later set the groundwork for post graduate school. Athletically, my goal is to be part of a baseball program that will continue to teach and challenge me to eventually reach that next level of baseball.
