Reid Smith '20 Recruiting Profile

One of my main goals is I want to get a good college degree and be able to say that I played college baseball all the way through. I want to be able to play for a team and coach that is going to benefit me like I will them. 

I love the game of baseball. I have known that I wanted to play past the high school level ever since I started my Babe Ruth career. The reason for this was my coach, Coach Word trusted my ability. Coach Word never doubted my capabilities when I would start to show signs of going in to a slump. He trusted me to work on it and get it figured out. With his support and coaching, I would always grow better from the experience. My dad and I would go hit in the cage for an hour or so whenever we could until I got back going. This is something I look for in a coach. I want a coach that will trust in my ability. I have had two of these coaches in my life. Under these two coaches I have grown and excelled.  With their leadership I ended up having the best seasons of my life. That is the type of coach that I want to find at the college level. They are the ones that will benefit me just as much as I will them.
