Andrew Klimek '19 Recruiting Profile

Being raised in a baseball-loving family, some of my first memories were spent with my Dad learning how to throw and hit a baseball. My love for the game took off from there. Being left-handed I knew I wanted to pitch. I have fallen in love with being on the mound, in control of a game. My favorite pitcher is Kyle Hendricks from the Chicago Cubs. He isn't the guy who throws 98 and overpowers everyone, but he is the guy who will use strategy, movement, pitch selection, and location to fool you. I take that same mentality on the mound. I strive for excellence in my personal life, in the classroom and on the field. With this combination, I hope to achieve my goal of playing collegiate baseball. Baseball will always be more than just a sport to me, and I will continue to put in the work to reach my goals.
