Personal Statement
Winning the Iowa USSSA 2A State Championship as a 12 year old was one of the greatest highlights and rewarding achievements of my baseball career so far. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my freshman year when I didn't achieve the position that I have worked so hard for since I was 7 years old . This experience helped me grow as a person and led me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a solid all around first baseman and pitcher capable of playing at the college level
I have learned the value of teamwork, personal hardwork, personal commitment, dedication, sacrifice, and leadership throughout my baseball career. I work out 5 to 6 days a week doing everything from weight lifting, running, speed and agility training and specific baseball training. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe not only do I have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, dedication, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on any program. As a three-sport athlete, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
