My love of baseball started when I was 4 years old in T-ball. The coaches told my parents that I had a natural talent. I joined a park & recreation league and was bored and wanted more of a challenge. I tried out and began playing for The Quad City Hitmen Baseball/Softball Academy. I have since played with the Hitmen since I was 8 years old. I feel the one person that has influenced me throughout baseball is my coach of 6 years. He has worked with me one on one and taught me to be a better player and leader. I was nominated and recieved the 2015 Sportsmanship Award out of hundreds of players. My team placed second in Nationals as well as I threw a 1 hitter in the championship game as pitcher.
I have learned that if I apply myself to anything I can easily accomplish it. I am confident in my abilities on and off the field. As a Freshman I tried out and am currently playing this summer. I am a starter as shortstop, pitcher and second base. I plan on playing all through my high school years.
I can be a role model on and off the field. My goal is to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher as well as use my confidence and comittment to play baseball in college. I will accelerate academically in my study of choice. I believe I have what it takes to be a leader and competent role model for your school.
