Ryan Kemp '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Kemp. I am a 6’1” 175 lb Centerfielder from Keokuk, Iowa. My graduation year is 2012. I have played varsity baseball for the Keokuk Chiefs since my Freshmen year and I have started since my Sophomore year. I was named 2^nd team All- Conference my Sophomore year and 1^st Team All-Conference my Junior year. I was voted Mr. Offense my Sophomore and Junior year and MVP my Junior year. I am a fast, athletic baseball player. I have lettered in four other varsity sports: Football (2 years), Basketball (1 year), Track (1 year), and Tennis (1 year).  I am a 4.0 student and my scores on the ACT are as follows: English 30, Math 27, Reading 25, and Science 26. I plan to take the SAT and retake the ACT.

I believe that I have a lot to offer a team at the next level, both on the diamond and in the classroom. I strive to be the best that I can be at everything I do. I love to compete and look forward to challenges. My work ethic, leadership skills and determination are my best characteristics. “Do what others won’t today, so that you can do what others can’t tomorrow”, is a quote that I heard from a camp that has given me inspiration and motivation to work hard to achieve my goals. I am a determined individual who takes pride in doing well in the classroom and on the baseball field.

I am looking for a school with an outstanding academic reputation as well as a great baseball program. My goal is to compete at the highest level and to be influential and contribute to my team’s success. I am looking at pursing a degree in Business Law.
