Personal Statement
Although I’ve played recreational baseball since the age of four, the travel team experience cemented my desire to pursue playing baseball at the highest level possible. In the summer of 2021, I talked with my parents about the need to improve my pitching. After this conversation, they arranged for me to see a pitching coach on a weekly basis. Each week we work on correcting any bad mechanics, improving velocity and core strength. This instruction has provided Driveline Plyo Balls, as well as hip and core training. I’m doing daily workouts to increase my body weight with weight training, cardio work and improved nutrition. This means I work hard to avoid my Honey Bun addiction.
I am looking forward to bringing my 6’2” frame and LH pitching skills to benefit a collegiate baseball team. My quiet personality helps me maintain composure on the mound and see each pitch as a new opportunity. I believe my character off the field is just as important as on the field. Because of this, I have the drive to stay focused in the classroom as well. My cumulative GPA is 3.93 at the end of this academic year.
My desire is to play at a college that can provide an opportunity for me to pursue a degree in Engineering and fulfill my hope of playing baseball at the collegiate level.
