Personal Statement
At the very young age of 4, I was introduced to baseball by my father who has a passion for the game. I became more passionate about the game as I found my grandfather was a “Barnstormer” in the late 1930’s. He played baseball throughout the Midwest
Being born in April, I have always been the youngest and smallest player on the team due to the Little League and USSSA birth date guideline. I have also had some coaches that, at first, never gave me a chance due to my size and age. Many times I have felt the role of the underdog. With that said, I work very hard on improving my skills. Due to my hard work I have earned 5 consecutive Little League and Babe Ruth All-Star selections. I have also earned 4 consecutive USSSA All State Showcase selections
By learning to overcome adversity throughout my early baseball years; I have become a team leader and more self-confident on and off the field. I have learned that hard work and desire pay dividends. These attributes also affect my educational outlook. One of my high school goals is to become an academic all-state ballplayer. In college, I would also continue with my academic success in business.
