Jay F. Burgos-Rodriguez '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Jay F. Burgos Rodriguez. I am a student at Waterloo West Highschool. I started playing baseball in Puerto Rico where I was born and raised for 6 years, and later moved to Iowa. I started to realize how serious I wanted to get about playing baseball at the collegiate level, then I started to work on my craft more and more often until it became a everyday thing like waking up and keeping my body mentally and physically balanced. Making time for other things while still being able to work on the sport I love most everyday. My coaches and teammates would describe me as a leader on and off the field, I guide and push people to do what is correct and push teammates to do better every time they practice baseball. I am also loud on the field, I play with a ton of energy and I play with attitude and effort as soon as I step foot on the field. If anything my goal is to outwork others and earn the top spot as a player and as a leader.
