Personal Statement
I am a switch-hitting NCAA D2 college catcher who has played the past two years at Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. I will graduate this spring with my bachelors degree in psychology, and plan on entering graduate school in psychology in the fall of 2020. I still have a year of eligibility left for baseball, and would like to play for a good D1, D2 or NAIA team. Before the 2020 season ended early, I was a team captain and was ranked highly on a number of Conference ranking lists and several national rankings. The past two summers I have played in several highly competitive collegiate leagues, the Coastal Plain League and the MINK League. Both summers were good experiences as I caught for over a dozen 90+ mph pitchers. As a catcher I am involved with every single pitch of every game, and I really like the responsibility that comes with this position. I have learned the important role on a team a good catcher plays in so many ways. I am a very hard worker and and am very coachable. I look forward to playing the sport I love as long as possible.
