Personal Statement
My goal, as a student who wants to play baseball in college, would be to find somewhere I can be an asset to the team and work to make myself a better player of the game. My aspirations are to take baseball as far as I can into my future, that way I can assure myself I put everything I could into the sport I love.
I personally feel I would be a good candidate for a team because I will bring a positive, team focused attitude, while also being able to play many positions effectively. Finally, I am a coachable player who is up for any challenge a coach may present to me.
What makes me stand out in character is the positive vibe I bring to any team, while also knowing when to get serious. A way that I am different on the field is that over my baseball career I have played many positions, consistently. For example, during my high school season we had a very small amount of athletes so I offered to play any additional positions needed, while continuing to get consistent reps in my MAIN position; catcher. Although being a catcher is my goal, I realized that sometimes you have to look past where you want to play and see where you need to play for the good of the team.
Finally, I have a very hard word ethic at school. School is one of the most important things in my life. I do not only want to play baseball, but receive a great education in the process.
