September 2016Personal Statement
My goals, what I would like to get out of college are very simple and achievable. I not only want to play college baseball, and succeed in playing college baseball, but I want to get my degree in full, in Criminal Justice and become a better person and citizen through playing baseball and studying to become a law enforcement officer. I'm not only coach-able, but I am willing to put hard work in everyday in becoming a better player and person. I have always been taught to do to others what you want done to yourself, and I live my life everyday by that motto. I am willing to work very hard not only on the field but in the classroom, and in becoming a better human being through baseball and academics.

- Braden Stewart, SS, Nickerson, 2017 Stewart is a 6-foot-3 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2017 class. He ran a 7.20 60 and a 4.45 home-to-first. He has a 75 mph exit velo. At the plate, tall and thin stance in base, controlled leg lift to stride, bat accelerates, gap-to-gap approach. On the infield, 72 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fluid footwork, clean glove-to-hand transfer, plays through the ball, accurate throws. In the outfield, over the top release, works behind the ball, momentum through the catch, fluid footwork working with transfer, 78 mph positional velo.

Was aggressive in attacking the ball during defensive evaluations, fielded the ball cleanly with good footwork and made good strong throws across the infield. Is tall at the plate keeping his hands inside with a small leg kick and shows quick swing through the hitting zone.
