Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is Caleb Metzen and I am a 6’3”, 190 pound, 2022 student-athlete at Garden City High School in Garden City, Kansas. I am a Utility player and RHP and I primarily hit 2-4 in my high school and travel team lineup. I enjoy playing all defensive positions on the diamond at a very high level. I have been referred to by many of my current and previous coaches in multiple sports as an "unselfish leader," as I have always based my success on the team's success. Whether that be a win or a loss, improvement during practice, or off the playing field in things such as the classroom, I pride myself as a quality friend and provider to my peers and teammates. I hope to continue this mentality in my ultimate goal of competing at the collegiate level. If I am provided the opportunity to compete with a collegiate baseball team I can ensure an unmatched drive towards both my education and the spectacle that is the game of Baseball. I am a student of the game who is constantly learning and improving for the betterment of my collective team and I am excited about the potential opportunity to play at a higher level post-high school.
