My name is Landis Rowden, I will be a graduate of the class of 2016. I attend Wamego High School in Wamego, Ks. It is my dream to play baseball at the next level as I continue to further my education. I have always believed you should give your best effort in practice as well as the game in order to be a better teammate and competitor, "lead by example". I am a solid student and understand the importance of academics to my future. I look forward to being a successful student athlete in the college setting. I am willing to do whatever it takes to be a productive and positive contributor as a student as well as an athlete. I am a multi-sport athlete, 4 years of baseball, 4 years of basketball, and 2 years of football at the high school level. I have been playing baseball since I was four years old. I developed the basic skills early and played up in age as soon as I was allowed. I began playing at a more competitive level when I was ten and really developed a love for the game as I faced different challenges with every new team we played. I have been a starter on the Wamego High School team since my freshman year and am currently playing with a showcase team out of Kansas City in the off seasons to continue to develop my skills. I am primarily a shortstop, but can play both infield and outfield positions with confidence. I would appreciate the opportunity to build and challenge my ability as a baseball player while getting a quality education at the same time.
