Personal Statement
I am a left-handed pitcher who pitches for strikes and gets outs in the field. My grandfather played baseball (he is even named after Lou Gehrig); my uncles played baseball; my mom and aunt played softball. You could say that "it's in my blood." I have been told by multiple people that I have a "mean curve ball." A young senior, I am not the guy that will blow anything past you (yet), but I hit my spots very well, and I let my teammates do their jobs. I am also still growing and working hard in the gym. As an outfielder, I like taking a lot of the balls in the air when I think I can get to them, with a solid arm and good command of my throws. I feel really good about my foundation of skills, but am always looking to improve! I am involved in a lot of school related clubs, and have made it to state twice in FBLA competition. This year, I serve in the position of chapter reporter for FBLA. Full of school spirit, I am a Senior class representative for our Pep Club, organizing events in support of our male and female student athletes. I was also picked as a class representative for our district's anti-bullying campaign. I consider myself a leader and a great teammate who is always the first one out of the dugout.
