Raised in a military family, my approach to life is very structured. I understand solid preparation is vital for success. I always strive to be "of value" to my family, peers and teammates. Academically, I have always been at the top of my class; currently a member of the Beta Club and a member of Community Church.
I have many interest and hobbies, but baseball is what I enjoy the most. Baseball is a sport I have been involved with since the age of 3. Living in a rural community, I had to travel out of area numerous times just to play the game. Playing on several different teams has given me the opportunity to learn multiple positions, focus on different aspects of the game and increase my baseball IQ.
I currently play varsity baseball for the McLean County Cougars and was awarded the "Golden Glove" for the 2018 season. My starting position is 2nd base. I am often used as a utility player in case of sickness, absence or injury. Other positions I frequently play are catcher and corner outfield positions. Being a utility style player requires year round commitment.
Defining my collegiate goals and aspirations could be summed up with one word: "Winning." Whether it's academics, sports or life in general. Striving to make a difference and leaving a positive footprint. I strongly believe that my attitude, work ethics and talents can leave such a footprint.
