I started playing baseball when I was 4 years old, and although I enjoy playing other sports, baseball is definitely my passion. I am primarily a RHP with my secondary position as corner infielder. As a pitcher I have good mound presence and can start, relieve, or close out a game depending on what my team needs me to do. I’m a good teammate and bring positivity to the field. Also, I have a strong work ethic and work well with many coaching personalities.
Over the years, I have had my share of baseball disappointment. I never made the top All Star team for my league and I did not make my high school team as an 8th grader. These disappointments motivated me to work harder and persevere to achieve my goals. Sometimes what seemed like a missed opportunity turned out to be a blessing in disguise, ending up with more playing time and opportunities to develop at alternate positions. As a Freshman, I made both the Freshman and JV rosters at my high school.
Off the baseball field I work equally hard to achieve academic success, maintaining a 4.65 GPA as a Freshman. My family and faith in God are also very important to me. I try to be the best big brother to my 4 year old sister, Sadie. I am involved in my church youth group. Next January, I am planning to travel to Peru for a mission trip to help with a Christian baseball camp for youth.
