Personal Statement
Winning the District Championship for 3 years straight at Eastern High School has been one of many highlights of being part of our amazing Baseball Program. I was blessed to be able to play up for Eastern as an 8th grader so even though my Junior season hasn’t started, I’ve still been apart of our winning program for 3 years already. However, all 3 years we lost in Regionals and as disappointing it was to lose, it allowed me to see areas of improvement for myself. After each loss, whether it’s a regular season game or the game that knocks us out, I go home and reflect on what I need to improve on. I then talk to my very supportive parents about actions I can take to achieve better results. Some of those actions have been; strength training, increasing velocity and speed, working on footwork, batting/pitching lessons, and communication skills on and off the field.
I am very fortunate to be apart of the Eastern Baseball Program because of our coaching staff and all my teammates. They push me to become a better player and allow me access to some of the best high school facilities in the State. I believe I not only have the talent to compete at the college level, but the grades, work ethic, dedication, leadership, and communication skills to become a valuable member of any college program.
