Personal Statement
Ever since I began playing baseball at the age of 4, I have loved it for the little things that go on and the immense amount of strategy. Baseball has taught be lessons both in and off the field such as teamwork, perseverance, leadership, responsibility, and discipline. I have learned to encourage others with a joyful attitude while remaining competitive.
Two thousand fifteen was my freshman year and I learned that pitching was a game within itself while facing juniors and seniors. I could not blow it by them with a 78 mph fastball but yet I could keep them on their toes by working the plate and sequencing different locations and pitches. I love to work hard at what I do or else I believe the outcome will not be as rewarding. I play the game for the love of it and not just to look cool or to wear a jersey. I believe if you work for something you will get it and to set your goals high since there is no reason not too.
My lifelong goal is to compete in collegiate baseball. I know I must possess drive and determination in order to succeed but anything worth having is worth working for.
