Personal Statement
I am currently in my senior year at Elizabeth High School, my goal after high school is to pursue my academic education and continue my baseball career at the college level. Since junior high school, I have taken great pride in developing myself into the best student athlete possible. I firmly believe that everything is possible in life as long as you set goals and action plans to achieve them. Some are easier to reach than others but at the end of the road it is all worthwhile. My parents once told me to find my passion in life and motivation to make it happen would be right behind it.
While on and off the field my passion for the game is evident, it has always been important for me to develop my leadership skills, sense of responsibility, work ethic, and to be trustworthy and respectful. As an eighth grade varsity starter, my hard work and dedication set a good example for my teammates. From this lead, young players saw that anyone could earn a spot if they worked hard, promoted the team concept, and showed respect and compassion for all players and coaches. Educationally, I strive to be the best I can be; my work ethic and enthusiasm for learning often separates me from other students.
As a solid academic student, my goal is to contribute both academically and athletically at the next level. While my choice of degree is still uncertain, I am 100% sure about my interest in baseball.
