Personal Statement
My name is Joshua Magee and I am a sophomore at Delgado community college here in New Orleans, Louisiana. I played at Alabama State university during the 2014 season. I transferred after some serious thinking believed it wasn't the place for me at the time. I am not afraid to work hard and Nobody will work harder than me, I just hope to have the chance to prove I can play at the next level again. I know that it will take a lot of hard work to get to the next level, but I am confident that my dedication to excellence will help me succeed. I truly believe I have a very high ceiling. My dream is to get another college scholarship first then help my team win a few national championships. Then I hope to get drafted and play professional baseball for a long time (maybe even be a NY Yankee). My dad says "Don't dream stupid, always have a Plan B." So if the MLB does not work out, I have a backup plan. With or without baseball, I want to get a degree in exercise science or maybe athletic training and become a Physical Therapist or Sports Psychology. I want to work with college and high school athletics, helping them recover from injury and return to playing the sport they love. Thank you for your time and consideration.
