William Simmons '20 Recruiting Profile

After high school, I would love to play baseball at a college while pursuing my career goal of becoming a physical therapist. I have been playing baseball my whole life, and it is something that I love. Baseball challenges me and allows me to be a valuable member of a team, which is very important to me. I have played and lettered in three varsity sports in high school: baseball, basketball, and football. Throughout that time, I have continued to keep focus on my academics, as I currently maintain a 3.48 GPA. 

I was recently selected by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches (MSABC) to play in the Maryland Cup game on July 30 at Frederick Keys Stadium. I will be playing on Maryland’s Gold (South) team, which will be taking on a team from Virginia. As well as being chosen for the Maryland Cup team, I have also participated as a member of the MSABC Classic South Region team, as well as a member of the MSABC Futures South Region team.

It is my hope to be selected by a school that wants me to represent it in its collegiate baseball program, as well as contribute to the excellence of its sport medicine program, which will allow me to achieve my goal of becoming a physical therapist. Thank you for your consideration.
