Personal Statement

Throughout my life, the main sport I have always loved is baseball. I have played travel baseball since 9U and had the opportunity to play for and learn from multiple coaches. It has taught me to have faith in my teammates, while playing my own part to succeed.  Baseball takes a lot of patience. You have to learn to not give up when you are in a slump or make an error.  I have taken that lesson and applied it to other areas of my life. One example would be, if you get one bad grade on a test, you persevere and make up for it on the next test.

One of my favorite memories from little league was going to Cooperstown, NY at 12U. We made it to the round of 32 out of 105 teams. We played teams from all across the US and Canada and beat them!

As a sophomore, I made the Varsity baseball team at my high school and earned the starting spot at DH. We won the Central Maryland Conference Championship and made it to the Regional Championship game in the Maryland 4A Division.

My goal is to get the opportunity to play my best at the college level. Some of my strongest characteristics are that I am coachable, hardworking and dependable. The combination of these traits will be an asset to any college team.

I am open to any college where I can play baseball, but my ideal college would be in a suburban or rural setting. The areas that I am most interested in are the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US. Although I am not yet decided about a major in college, I want the school to be a good fit academically as well.

As I enter my junior year in high school, my goals are to gain weight, maintain a GPA above 3.5 and start as a middle infielder. By reaching these goals, I will be closer to my dream of playing college baseball.
