Personal Statement

I come from a long line of athletes. My father and uncle both played baseball in college and I wish to follow in their footsteps. I play for Hereford High school and Five Star Mid-Atlantic baseball. As an athlete I am committed, focused, fast and coachable. My preferred position is 2nd base but I have played shortstop and 3rd base. As well as athletics I am also very committed to my academics. I made National Honor society my sophomore year and ended my sophomore year with a 3.5 unweighted GPA and a 4.75 weighted GPA taking AP classes as well as GT and honors level classes. I would like to study health sciences or kinesiology in college. I am searching for a program that is able to support my desire to play baseball while also allowing me to study and prepare me with a degree for professional work.
