Personal Statement
I have been passionate about baseball for all my life and hope to be able to extend my baseball career through college. I'm versatile on the field with extensive experience playing my primary position of catcher as well as 1B and outfield. I am willing to do whatever I can to help my team win. I work hard both on the field and in the classroom and will continue to do so in college.
For many years I have worked hard to increase my strength and baseball skills through strength training and throwing/hitting/fielding training multiple times per week outside of practice, even when my schedule requires me to head to training immediately after games. I do it because I know that it will increase my chances of playing in college. In addition to baseball, I am a varsity starter on my high school football team at both WR and free safety.
I am looking for an academically challenging college where I can explore many subjects and discover the field I want to pursue as a career, while also experiencing the bonding and competition associated with playing on a college baseball team. Both my parents were athletes in college and they have shared with me all the benefits of competing on a college athletic team. I know I have not yet reached my full potential as a baseball player and hope to play in college so I can maximize my abilities and have fun doing it.
