Personal Statement
My name is Garett Blank, and I attended Frederick Community College (FCC) in Frederick, MD. I recently completed my sophomore year at FCC in May 2017. I have my associates degree in communications.
I continue to maintain a sound work ethic and believe that I was born with a competitive spirit. After my junior college days, I would like to transition to an equally competitive 4 year college or university.
My dream is to achieve the same goal that my dad realized in his senior year of high school, when he was drafted as a catcher, in the 19th round by the (Baltimore Orioles) in the summer (1975) MLB free agent draft.
I am interested in the field of communications, although I am considering pursuing a career in public service (law enforcement). At this time, I am not set on any particular division, because I want to remain open to all opportunities available to me.
I am an honest, hard working, driven athlete and I am very coachable. I maintain a sound respect for authority which is evidenced in my manner. While I enjoy success, I strive to accomplish more and seek to constantly improve myself as a person and a ball player. I want to be an impact player, at whatever college or university I attend.
