I’m a good baseball player and I want to play in college. Everyone listing their profile here can say that. What makes me different is that I am great baseball player but baseball has made me an even better person and teammate. Baseball is extremely important to me because it has taught me crucial skills that have shaped me into who I am today. It has taught me leadership, determination, sportsmanship and how to handle adversity. These things are needed to be successful at baseball but also in life. It has taught me how to be a good winner and a good loser. It has taught me that hard work pays off. It has taught me that everyone makes mistakes but, how you handle yourself after the mistake, is what matters. Baseball has taught me how to be a good teammate. How to be respectful, encouraging, coachable, patient and accepting. The teams I have played for have been made up of people from all different backgrounds, geographies, races and ethnicities. When we step on the field, we are a team. When I step off the field, I take that with me. My dream is to continue playing baseball into college and beyond and I think all this makes me a solid addition to any team.
