Matthew Kinzer '23 Recruiting Profile

After my second year of playing Little League, I was asked to catch in a local tournament.  From that weekend I knew that I wanted to be a catcher.  I have put everything I have into learning the art of catching.  From blocking to pitch framing to throw downs to pitch sequences I am determined to develop into the best catcher I can be for my teams.  At every level - Little League, Babe Ruth, High School, Travel - I have worked to improve every aspect of my game.  I promised myself that no one would out prepare or out work me.  I know that baseball is a game that requires dedication and determination.  I bring both of those to my teams.  I also understand that baseball is the ultimate team sport.  While one player can dominate, a team cannot win without 9 players doing their part for the team.  I know what my part is for my team and I know I will be prepared to do what is necessary to help my team succeed.
