Adam Iagallo '21 Recruiting Profile

The reason I want to play college baseball at the highest level possible is because it has been a dream of mine for a long time and because I love the game of baseball. I would cherish the opportunity to keep playing baseball after my high school career is over. Baseball has been an essential part of my life ever since I was a young kid, and tee ball is where I first fell in love with it. Another appealing aspect about college baseball is the high amount of commitment and drive it takes to be a student athlete. Cycling between classes,  workouts and practices every day is a challenge that I am ready and excited for. 

As a baseball player, I pride myself in my work ethic and desire to become the best ballplayer I can be. I try to be proactive in my free time, using it to get some hitting in at my team's facility, do hitting and defense drills in my yard, or get a workout in. Even though the global pandemic changed the world around us, I worked around it by seeing every day as an opportunity to get outside and continue to work towards my dream. I also pride myself in my defensive versatility. Ever since my transition to the big diamond, I have played all 9 positions on the field multiple times. Lastly, I have been known by my coaches to lead by example. It makes me feel good that coaches recognize me for the way I play the game, among other qualities.

Academically, I would like to attend a school that is the right fit for me, and major in Sports Management. I am interested in this major because it provides the continued opportunity to be involved in sports post-high school, just like playing college baseball does. I love sports culture and grew up watching every sports game I could. I think my GPA opens up a broad range of schools I could attend, which is good because it gives me options to choose from. 

Overall, I think my skill set and qualities I possess will translate well to college. I am excited for my future with the recruitment process, as I continue to work to get better with every day.
