I have loved the game of baseball since I began playing in preschool. I could not wait until I was finally old enough to play at the “kid pitch” level. It seemed like forever until I was 8 years old! Finally, the game started to feel the way I always watched the Red Sox playing it on TV. I jumped from my coach pitch team to a U9 Cal Ripken tournament team that summer. I had to learn how to hit with kids pitching, how to bunt, steal, and read signs from my coach. It was so much to take in, but I was where I wanted to be. I don’t exactly remember what sparked my interest in pitching, but as soon as I started I never wanted to stop. I soon learned how competitive I am when it comes to baseball. Losing puts a sour taste in my mouth and makes me want to try harder to become better every day.
My goal is to finish high school with a 3.5 GPA and to win a Western Mass Championship for baseball. In college I hope to advance my skills in a subject where I can gain the knowledge to make myself marketable, so when I decide to start a family I can support them. Dedication and work ethic have always been a part of me and I hope college coaches are willing to take a chance on making me a part of their 2020 roster. I am always the last one to leave practice, the last one in the cage hitting, putting in the extra work to win a Western Massachusetts title and hopefully a NCAA baseball championship.
