Personal Statement
Hi Coaches,
My name is Max Martin and I am a senior at Walpole High School. I have a 3.0 GPA and am yet to take the SAT due to cancellations. In the spring of 2021, I will captain the varsity team along side teammate Sam Donovan. I aspire to play at the next level, regardless of the division, and I would like to earn my master's degree. I will be looking to major in finance and possibly minoring in mathematics. My goal for this year is to get straight As and finish my high school career strong. My teammates and I are confident that we will compete for a championship this spring, as well.
In the classroom, I come prepared every day to work as hard as I can to earn good grades. Entering high school, I didn't really know how to use my time well, which ended up with me earning a 2.7 GPA. After that year, it gradually got easier for me to manage my time complete my work efficiently. Every year I have been enrolled in multiple Honors classes, and I plan to finish my senior year that way, too.
As a baseball player I am very competitive and I like to lead by example. In the offseason I work hard to prepare for the season, whether it be in the weight room, classroom, or the field itself. I get along well with all of my teammates, and we all have a mutual respect for each other regardless of age.
