Personal Statement
My Name Is Giovanni De Leon I go by Gio, my main focus is to make myself the best baseball player I can be. My whole life has been structured around baseball and consistent practice. Being an Baseball player is more than just showing up to practices and games. I have always done things to benefit the outcome of the next game wether it be medicine balls or running. No matter how good a season can be going there is always room for improvement. My favorite part about baseball is being able to practice things off the field and getting the chance to apply these different things games. If you were to select me on your team not only will I be putting in my best effort during practices and games but I will be putting that effort in on my own time. I have been on many teams growing up and noticed how team attitude can change the game. Personally from playing for so long I know that sometimes it will be a little tough on the mound and you might be that slight adjustment away from hitting a solid line drive, but I these things can never bring you down because once you allow them to the whole game changes for the worse from then out. Now baseball is a team sport and sure I could go on the mound and dominate but without a team behind me I am nothing. When being on a team I try to become family with each and every player. Ive noticed that in serious games where the coach can’t Always be everywhere at once and notice a player pick-up who just seems like he is not in the game. I always make sure to take care of my “family” and talk to them to explain how we need them at there best and be the one to say “so what“ if you missed a play. Baseball is more then a game and without the family bond a baseball team is not a team. If you were to give Me the opportunity to play for your team I can guarantee that I will bring the same positive energy and intense gameplay. Baseball is my everything and forever will be.
